Typekit
The two US-based skins available for WebManager 4 utilize a webfont tool called Typekit for serving licensed fonts such as Trajan Pro. This is an important service due to the fact that it allows these skins to display Salvation Army branding without having to resort to exporting type as an image. The Typekit service allows the webfont to be licensed and embedded directly on the page, automatically applying the code necessary to make text display as Trajan Pro. Using licensed webfonts through a service such as Typekit prevents any unauthorized or illegal use of the font, which is important for an organization like ours. While it is possible to manually create a webfont version of Typekit, this is not legal. Currently Typekit is the only method for serving this font as selectable text on the web.
These skins automatically pull in the typekit version of this font in headings (Heading 1, Heading 2, etc) and the site title. There are currently two Typekit accounts active for WebManager 4 use, but they have limited availability for domains outside of *.salvationarmy.org or www.salvationarmyusa.org.
Custom Domains
If you use a custom domain name for your site, i.e. the pages live somewhere other than http://*.salvationarmy.org/site_name or http://www.salvationarmyusa.org/site_name you may need to create a Typekit account for your site that can be mapped to the specific domain. The Portfolio plan is $49.99 per year and is the minimum available plan required for using Trajan Pro: https://typekit.com/plans
It might be worth checking with your Divisional or Territorial web contact in your respective area to see if a Typekit account is available for your use, and if they could add your site's custom domain to the list of recognized domains for the specific account.
Once you have created the account, Typekit provides a short 2-line embed code.
To add your custom Typekit code, create a property called "typekit" and paste the 2-line embed coded in the HTML of that property.
